Simone Albert

Counsellor

Simone is deeply passionate about bridging the gap between medical and mental health, aiming to tap into the intrinsic healing capacity of the mind and enrich the lives of those facing adversities. Simone holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, an academic foundation established three decades ago. After initially practicing as a neurology nurse, she developed a profound appreciation for the intricacies of the mind.

This passion led her to pursue a Graduate Diploma in Psychology and subsequently a Diploma of Counselling. These qualifications empower Simone to seamlessly integrate her diverse knowledge of health psychology into her holistic practices, enabling her to provide comprehensive support for individuals navigating life altering conditions.

In her role as a Counsellor, Simone utilises evidence-based practices and a variety of therapeutic techniques, tailoring her approach to the unique needs of individuals. Her extensive experience spans diverse age groups – tweens, teens, adults, and families – where she facilitates personal insight, rediscovery of inner strength, stress and anxiety management, emotional balance, grief and loss, trauma recovery, and clarity during life’s transitions.

Simone’s unique perspective is enriched by her authorship of a book on allergies, exploring the emotional and psychological dimensions of these challenges. Beyond her professional expertise, she brings a personal understanding of anaphylaxis, and raising a child with severe food allergies, firsthand experiencing the emotional, psychosocial, and cognitive impacts.
